Ryan Murgatroyd is a Cape Town-based producer, DJ and songwriter. His first-ever release, "Funk Country", was named BBC Radio 1's Essential New Tune, and his work since — from Crazy White Boy to Bantwanas — has helped shape the sound of modern South African house.
"Bantwanas Piano" on Defected Records was called "a towering achievement in the landscape of modern house music" by DJ Mag. He now releases on Get Physical and curates his own imprint, Swoon Recordings.
